San Felipe is a small Mexican fishing village on the eastern coast of the Baja peninnsula on the Sea of Cortez, also known as the Gulf of California. With a population of around 20,000, life is simple, peaceful and beautiful.
In addition to the local population there are many retired Americans and Canadians, many of whom are "snowbirds" who call San Felipe their home on a seasonal basis.
For tourists and locals alike the Malecon along the water is a fun place to eat and enjoy shopping for local wares and souveniers. The many taquerias, cantinas and restaurants all have stunning views of the Sea and great people-watching.
